The Elf on the Shelf...or where is he?

Mimi & Mr. Freddie sent this to the boys before Christmas and they had so much fun with it every day leading up to Christmas morning. Caleb does know that the elf really isn't watching everything he does as the song that came on the CD and the book says. You know Caleb. He knows that elves are "fiction fake" as he says. :) Believing your parents brought in a little man to sit on the shelf to watch you would be kind of a creepy thing, I think. :) I would have been creeped out as a child by that! :) ...but the hide and seek part was a fun, little thing we did this year. Caleb shot out of his room every morning excited about finding the elf. Then, when he found it hanging from the curtains or sitting on the tree or hanging from a light fixture, HE would hide it for me to find while he was at school. His favorite place to hide it for me was in my stocking. It was fun!

Random question: Do you ever take pictures and then when you look at them realize you need to clean something?? :) Such was the case here. :) I'm not sure if you can tell from this angle, but that light fixture which hangs above the dining room table was totally covered in dust. It's been disassembled and cleaned. I couldn't believe how bad it was!! Who knew my crazy love for taking pictures could help my house?? :)
